Since 2011, FLIESEN & PLATTEN, the German trade journal with the highest circulation, has called upon its readers to vote for the products of the year at regular intervals. In the category of tiles, the brand Agrob Buchtal ranked in second place at that time with the series XENO, behind the series HOMING of the sister brand Jasba, which thus was the first winner at all.
Agrob Buchtal then participated again in the vote for the product of the year 2014 and straightaway took first place with the series TWIN. After a pause in 2015 without participation, the company succeeded in winning the vote again with the series QUARZIT as product of the year 2016.
This impressive success story now has been seamlessly continued by the successful “title defence“. At the vote of the products of the year 2017, the Agrob Buchtal series SAVONA introduced in the same year was the winner by a significant margin.

The response at the premiere in 2010 was so positive that the competition was continued in 2012 and 2014 and now has been organized already for the fourth time in 2017.

The company and the interior designer decided on natural materials, a colour concept in which the black olive as main ingredient of the products plays an important part as well as on discreet associations with a laboratory environment. Ceramic tiles full of character from the classic tunnel kiln underline this concept, because they embody originality, authenticity and materiality.
